Teslas Now Self-Drive from Factory to Loading Docks [VIDEO]

Tesla recently shared a new video showing how its vehicles can now drive autonomously from factory to loading docks.
A video shows Tesla vehicles running the company’s Full Self-Driving (Unsupervised) software, driving, stopping at stop signs and avoiding vehicles. The interior screens display, “Tesla Self Driving”.
The first routes according to Tesla are the 1.2 mile route from its Fremont factory in California.
Check out the video below:
Normally, new Tesla vehicles are required to drive 100 km to calibrate cameras for Autopilot and Full Self-Driving.
But Tesla North reports that Ashok Elluswamy, head of Tesla AI and Autopilot, says calibration of these cameras is now done automatically as cars move through manufacturing lines. That’s pretty cool.

Besides Fremont, Tesla is likely also going to have its Cybertrucks self-drive from its Giga Texas factory to an outbound lot that spans the other side of a major freeway.
Tesla leveraged Elon Musk’s The Boring Company to bore a 1,355 foot tunnel in 9 weeks, dubbed the Cybertunnel, underneath the freeway. Check it out below:
With a major highway in the way, we needed a faster & safer way to connect production with our end of line shop & outbound lot
So we teamed up with @boringcompany to bore a 1,355 ft tunnel in just 9 weeks – enabling a much more efficient route for @cybertruck pic.twitter.com/qzyORIz8TB

Seeing self-driving Tesla vehicles exit factories and drive right to loading docks is giving off Skynet vibes.
Tesla plans to increase prices in Canada on February 1, and right now there’s discounted existing inventory available. This comes after the recent launch of the new Model Y in Canada and the USA. During yesterday’s Q4 earnings call Tesla said its new Model Y will likely again become the world’s best-selling car for the second year in a row.
