Apple’s M2 Mac mini Refurbs Are Now a Steal – Here’s the Savings

Apple has once again lowered the price of its refurbished M2 Mac mini, now starting at $439 in Canada.
When these refurbs first launched in May 2023, they were priced at $679, before dropping to $569 in October 2024.
Apple says its refurbished Macs go through a rigorous refurbishment process to ensure they function like new. The entry-level M2 Mac mini comes with an 8-core CPU, 10-core GPU, 8GB of RAM, and a 256GB SSD—a solid deal for those who don’t need the latest specs.
Yes, 8GB of RAM in 2025 is sad, but if this computer is used for light web browsing and social media, it’s more than enough for grandma to browse Facebook (and TikTok).
The price drop follows the fall launch of the M4 Mac mini, which now starts at $799 and includes 16GB of RAM by default (was 8GB). While the M4 model offers more power, the M2 version remains a great budget-friendly option for everyday tasks (like your recipe collection).
Don’t forget the refurbished M4 Mac mini also is available and for just $240 more, you get 16GB of RAM, plus a 10-core CPU/GPU, and a newer version of Apple Silicon.
Who’s jumping on a bargain M2 Mac mini refurb?

This is a wicked deal for this mac mini!! Not everyone needs the latest M4 chip! For this price it can't be beat!
I actually ended up buying the base model! For that price I could not refuse! It runs fantastic for the M2 so far with the base specs! Very happy with it so far!
