Apple News+ Getting New Food Section in Canada and Beyond

Apple is introducing Apple News+ Food, a new section in the company’s Apple News app that will offer recipes, restaurant reviews, kitchen tips, and food stories from top publishers.
Apple News+ subscribers will get this feature starting in April with the release of iOS 18.4 and iPadOS 18.4.
The Food section will include content from major food publishers like Allrecipes, Bon Appétit, Food & Wine, Good Food, and Serious Eats. Users will be able to browse, search, and filter recipes through the new Recipe Catalog, which will be updated daily. Curated food news from Apple News+ editors will also be available for the likes of healthy eating, kitchen essentials, and restaurant trends.

A new cook mode will offer step-by-step, full-screen instructions, making it easier for users to follow along while preparing meals. Recipes can also be saved for later and accessed offline. This is pretty neat to see.
While Apple News+ subscribers will have full access to the Food section, some recipes and stories will also be available to non-subscribers, too. It will be interesting to see the localized Canadian food content coming.
Apple News+ is available in the U.S., UK, Canada, and Australia and costs $16.99/month in Canada, but is included with select Apple One plans.
