Eve Systems has launched the Eve Dimmer Switch on Tuesday, its first smart light switch with built-in dimming functionality, allowing users to control their lights by voice, app, or automation.

The switch lets users set a customized brightness for all times of the day. It also enables automated lighting schedules based on presence or motion detection and offers remote control to turn lights on or off from anywhere.

The design includes a hybrid touch button and rocker dimmer, while maintaining a simple on/off function. Definitely a clean design and there’s a green LED so you can see the switch at night.

The Eve Dimmer Switch supports both Apple Home and Google Home platforms and shares the same design and price as the Eve Light Switch at $74.95 in Canada.

It connects via Matter-over-Thread, enhancing network stability and responsiveness. The switch is compatible with single-pole and 3-way configurations, meaning users only need to replace one switch in a circuit to upgrade their lighting.

Eve Dimmer Switch operates without cloud tracking or registration. Shipping to Canada will take place in mid-March. You’ll need a neutral wire for installation and a Matter-compatible hub. For Apple users, this means a HomePod 2, HomePod mini, and Apple TV 4K (2nd/3rd gen).
