How to Watch the 2025 Oscars in Canada: Live Stream & TV Guide

The 97th Academy Awards are happening on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. It’s that time of the year again to tune in to see big winners in film, fashion on the red carpet, and also for the first time ever, Conan O’Brien hosting the Oscars. Here’s how to watch the 2025 Oscars live in Canada and also where to stream the awards show live.
Where to Watch the 2025 Oscars in Canada
The Oscars will air live on Bell Media’s CTV with red carpet coverage starting earlier in the evening, again with exclusive rights in Canada.
- Date: Sunday, March 2, 2025

How to Stream the 2025 Oscars in Canada
If you don’t have cable, you can stream the show on:

You will need a TV provider login to stream of course as it won’t be free.
Who’s Hosting the 2025 Oscars?
It’s hard to believe, but this will be Conan O’Brien’s first time hosting the Oscars. Let’s see if he can bring back his late night TV magic to the Oscars. O’Brien has hosted the Emmy Awards twice, but never the Oscars. The man behind some of the best seasons of The Simpsons will bring back his wit and dry humour to the Oscars, hopefully.
Will we see the return of Triumph the Insult Comic Dog? The 2025 Oscars red carpet is a prime opportunity to roast some celebs.

The Oscars always has some sort of crazy surprise (like when Will Smith went on a slapping spree on Chris Rock’s face) and also some surprise wins and performances. It’s the biggest night live from Hollywood and Canadians always like to tune in. Last year, Bell said 3.5 million Canadians tuned in to the Academy Awards. Let’s wait and find out what the numbers are for 2025.
