Pokémon TCG Pocket Has Eclipsed 100 Million Downloads

Roughly four months since its launch on iOS and Android, Pokémon TCG Pocket has surpassed 100 million downloads.
Announced by developers DeNA recently, Pokémon TCG Pocket has crossed a substantial milestone since launching on October 30th of last year. “We would like to announce that Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket has reached over 100 million downloads worldwide,” said DeNA. “Thank you to everyone who has tried out the game.”
Last week The Pokémon Company held its Pokémon Day celebrations. During a Pokémon Presents live stream, a new booster pack dubbed Triumphant Light was announced for the game. Available now, Triumphant Light offers brand-new cards to collect and new battles to engage with. The game is also offering free booster packs with guaranteed rarity cards. By logging in any time before April 29th, 2025, you’ll receive three free packs to open. Additionally, special missions are available until March 26th.
“We are continuing to develop and operate the game so that everyone can enjoy it even more, and we plan to add Ranked Matches as well as continue adding more booster packs and holding a variety of events going forward.”
Earlier in February, new AppMagic data showed that Pokémon TCG Pocket has exceeded $500 million in lifetime revenue. After a few short months on the market, the company is halfway to closing in on one billion dollars.
Since its official launch, Pokémon TCG Pocket has seen fundamental updates added to the game. This includes the trading system, letting players trade their cards with one another using in-game currency. In January, the game also launched its Space-Time Smackdown expansion, adding two fully fleshed-out booster packs to open.
While Pokémon TCG Pocket isn’t quite bringing in the numbers of Pokémon GO yet, crossing 100 million players is still a major boon for the mobile card-collecting game.
