Clash of Clans Removes Troop Training Time in Major Update

Clash of Clans is making one of its biggest changes yet—removing troop training times in its next update. Soon, players in the Titan League and below will be able to attack without waiting for troops, spells, or siege machines to train. Heroes will also no longer require recovery time after battles, allowing for continuous gameplay.
According to Supercell, this means players can attack as much as they want, with no cooldowns or delays, until their builders are busy or storages are full. However, players in the Legend League will still have an eight-attack daily limit, at least for now.
The update comes as Clash of Clans celebrates its 13th anniversary. Supercell says the goal is to let players enjoy longer, more flexible play sessions without big waiting periods; the world has changed since the game’s launch way back in 2012.
To address concerns about running out of bases to attack, a new server feature called “Match Anytime” will introduce “snapshot bases.” These are protected bases from real players under a shield. Attackers can still gain loot and trophies, but defenders won’t lose anything. This aims to ensure players always have opponents available.
With the removal of training time, Training Potions will be phased out, and removed from in-app purchases. Remaining potions need to be used or they will be converted to Gems. The Training Perk in the Gold Pass will also be replaced with a Donation Request Timer reduction.
Donating troops will now require Elixir or Dark Elixir, depending on the type of troop or spell. Also, donation request timers will be set to a flat 10 minutes for all players, giving everyone faster access to reinforcements. This all looks to be a move to keep players within the Clash of Clans world.
To prevent trophy inflation, the number of trophies earned from victories will be reduced, especially for one-star wins. This is intended to balance gameplay and ensure players aren’t advancing too quickly in the game.
For now, the daily limit of 8 attacks in the Legend League will remain, but Supercell plans to update this later in the year.
