Telus-owned Public Mobile is giving new customers the chance to win a trip to Mexico, if they subscribe to one of the company’s Canada-US-Mexico plans.
The promo says you can win a 5-night trip for two to Cancún, Mexico, with flights and accommodations included. In order to qualify, you need to jump on a $35 or higher 5G Canada-US-Mexico plan.
The contest runs from March 11 to April 8, 2025, at 9:00 AM ET. To be eligible, participants must subscribe to an eligible Public Mobile plan by the deadline. Existing customers who receive an SMS invitation can also enter by subscribing by March 18, 2025.
Now, there is no purchase necessary to enter. The fine print says participants can submit a 500-600 word “handwritten” essay on a piece of paper explaining why they would like to visit Mexico (yes, it says handwritten). These entries must be mailed (sorry, fax not included) to Public Mobile and received by April 18, 2025.

The winner will receive two roundtrip economy flights to Cancún from a major Canadian airport (Toronto, Vancouver, Montréal, Calgary, Edmonton, Ottawa, Winnipeg, Halifax), along with five nights’ accommodation at a hotel selected by the contest organizers. The prize is valued between $5,000 and $8,000 CAD and must be used by February 28, 2026.
