Meta AI Studio Expands to Canada, Letting Users Create Custom AIs

Meta’s AI Studio, which allows users to create, share, and discover custom AIs without coding skills, is now available in Canada and 15 other countries.

Last July, Meta launched the AI Studio in the U.S. to start, but now it’s available in Canada, explained a Meta spokesperson to iPhone in Canada.

Canadians can now build AI versions of themselves that can talk and interact with their followers. Today’s launch also brings four new languages: Tagalog, Thai, Vietnamese, and Hindi-Romanized.

To create an AI, users can visit the AI Studio website on desktop or use the Instagram app by tapping “Create Message” in the inbox, selecting “AI chats,” and then tapping “Create.” AIs can be kept private or shared with followers, friends, or everyone, and can also be sent through Instagram DMs, Messenger, or WhatsApp. You don’t need to know any coding of deep understanding of AI to create these custom AI profiles, says Meta.

To discover AIs created by others:

• On Instagram, tap the write icon in the messages tab and select “AI chats.”
• On Messenger, tap the “Messages” icon and choose “AI chats.”
• On WhatsApp, tap “+” to start a new message and select “New AI chat.”

Essentially, these AIs you create can help you answer questions for followers, give advice and more. For those with a lot of followers, the premise is to have this AI version of yourself interact with fans faster, saving you time.
