McDonald’s Canada Drops Limited-Time Minecraft Meal—What’s Inside

Starting April 1, McDonald’s Canada is bringing Minecraft fans a special meal inspired by the game, featuring exclusive collectibles, in-game rewards, and pixelated packaging. The Minecraft Movie Meal is here to draw hype ahead of the movie’s debut on April 4 (remember that cringey trailer with Jack Black?).
What’s in the Minecraft Movie Meal?
Fans can choose from a Big Mac, 10-piece Chicken McNuggets (with a spicy Nether Flame sauce) and McSpicy Chicken Sandwich. Each meal comes with medium fries, a medium drink, and one of six exclusive Minecraft-themed collectibles.
Here are the six collectibles that will be availalbe—you can bet kids are going to want to collect these like crazy:
- Big Mac Crystal – A block “mined from the sea of special sauce.”
- Birdie Wings – Elytra-style wings to take flight.
- Fry Helmet – A red Fry box helmet rumored to protect against fry theft.
- Grimace Egg – A rare, mysterious egg from a purple shake.
- Soda Potion – A fizzy potion with a secret recipe.
- Zombie Hamburglar – A burger-loving undead character.
Each collectible includes a code to unlock a matching Minecraft skin in the Minecraft Marketplace.
There’s also going to be a limited-time Apple Shake, while the new Nether Flame Sauce is a spicy chili sauce with cayenne, garlic, and a hint of sweetness.
For the kiddos, they can get a Minecraft Movie Happy Meal, featuring 12 film-inspired toys like Creepers, Bees, and Steve, plus a scannable code to unlock a digital game.
The Minecraft Movie Meal will be available at participating McDonald’s locations across Canada, via the McDonald’s app, McDelivery, or in-store, while supplies last.
