SaskTel Expands 5G coverage to More Rural Communities
SaskTel has added 5G service to nearly 100 new cell sites, including Arborfield and Zenon Park, as part of its ongoing effort to improve wireless access across rural Saskatchewan and along highway routes.
The upgrades are part of a broader network expansion to bring faster wireless connections to more people and businesses in the province.
“SaskTel’s 5G network is delivering for the people of Saskatchewan by transforming how they connect, work, and access vital services,” said Jeremy Harrison, Minister Responsible for SaskTel, in a statement to iPhone in Canada. “This cutting-edge technology goes beyond faster data speeds—it empowers individuals, businesses, and industries with the tools they need to succeed in an increasingly digital world.”
SaskTel says its 5G network currently offers speeds up to 1.2 Gbps, with faster performance and more capabilities expected as the network continues to grow.
