Microsoft Launches Copilot Vision for iOS and Android

Microsoft today started rolling out Copilot Vision, its AI-powered visual analysis tool, to iOS and Android devices (via The Verge).

Copilot Vision analyzes visual data and provides relevant information, guidance, or ideas to users. It was a major part of Microsoft’s Copilot overhaul last year but has only been available on Edge webpages since. The feature is now rolling out to mobile devices, where it will be able to analyze real-time video from the camera or whatever’s on your screen.

In addition, Microsoft is also making Copilot Vision available across Windows PCs from within the Copilot app. Earlier this week, the company announced a slew of new Copilot+ features for AMD, Intel and Snapdragon X devices.

Copilot Vision is different from Microsoft’s Recall feature for Copilot+ devices. While Recall captures snapshots of what’s on your PC (if enabled) so it can later reference them, Copilot Vision is more akin to real-time screen-sharing with an AI assistant.

Copilot Vision is available on the Copilot app for iOS and Android today. The feature will be available to Windows Insiders starting next week, with a more comprehensive rollout coming once testing is complete. Microsoft launched its Copilot app for macOS back in February, but there’s no word yet on when Copilot Vision could make its way to Macs.

Alongside Copilot Vision, Microsoft also announced several new features coming to its AI assistant. Copilot now supports memory, personalization, web-based actions, podcast creation, deep research, and more.
