Telus-owned prepaid brand Public Mobile continues to tweak its 4G and 5G plan offerings.

The latest change today is the addition of new $22/3GB and $34/60GB plans.

Here are Public Mobile’s 4G Plans (all Canada-wide) as of today:

You’ll notice the $24/4GB was replaced by this $2 cheaper plan, which also has 1GB less data.

Here are Public Mobile’s 5G Plans (Canada-US-Mexico) as of today, April 3:

New here for 5G is a $34/60GB plan that only offers talk, text and data in Canada only. While it is $5/month cheaper than the $39/60GB plan being offered by Fido, Koodo and Virgin Plus, it doesn’t have international minutes. Fido is the only one to have set an end date of April 7 for its $39/60GB plan.

I thought Canada was a free and open democracy? Apparently not. You are still being chained to the oligopoly of Bell, Rogers and Telus no matter who you choose. And the corrupt CRTC wants it to stay that way. More competition = lower prices, better service and faster speeds. Canada isn't a true democracy as long as monopolies and oligopolies run the country.
