Rogers and Fido Slash Prices on Pre-Owned iPhone 14 Models
Rogers and Fido are quietly clearing out their certified pre-owned iPhone 14 lineup at reduced prices when paired with a 2-year contract. The phones are fully paid off after 24 months, and become yours to keep.
Here’s a breakdown of the current monthly device pricing on contract:
- iPhone 14 (128GB): $0/month ($0 total)
- iPhone 14 Plus (128GB): $5/month ($120 total)
- iPhone 14 Pro (128GB): $5/month ($120 total)
- iPhone 14 Pro Max (128GB): $10/month ($240 total)
- iPhone 14 Pro Max (256GB): $13/month ($312 total)
All online orders come with a mandatory $25 shipping fee. Looking at the phone cost over two years, that’s a warm deal but of course with a high minimum monthly plan, that can offset the deal. Given the high price of iPhones still, this might be worth considering if you don’t need the newest phone and are okay with a pre-owned device. The iPhone 14 series was released back in September 2022 and does not support Apple Intelligence.
These certified pre-owned (CPO) devices are often returned within the initial return period and are usually in near-new condition with high battery health, no prior repairs, and clean IMEI numbers—offering a safer alternative to buying second-hand through platforms like Facebook Marketplace and meeting up in a dark alley.
However, you should know that AppleCare+ may not be eligible for these devices, as they’ve likely been activated and may be past Apple’s 60-day grace period. The iPhone 14 lineup was the last series to use the company’s Lightning port, so that means you won’t have USB-C yet.
While Rogers’ website currently shows shipping times of over four weeks, some buyers on RFD have reported quicker turnarounds. One customer who ordered an iPhone 14 Pro Max 256GB on Saturday, April 19, received a shipping notice the very next day.
Of course, these deals are online only and are in limited supply. You’ll need to also jump on a minimum monthly plan, with some noting plans can vary depending on the status of your account.
