Rockstar has released the second official trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI, and it’s already making wave as expected.
Released this morning, the video has racked up more than 36 million views on YouTube, quickly becoming the #1 trending video on the site, while the trailer on X has seen over 60 million views
The trailer offers a deeper look at the game’s main characters, Jason and Lucia, a pair of outlaws caught in a high-stakes criminal web across the fictional state of Leonida—Rockstar’s take on modern-day Florida. The story kicks off in Vice City, where a simple job gone wrong throws them into a sprawling conspiracy. Facing long odds and constant danger, the duo must rely on each other to survive.
Rockstar Games previously confirmed that GTA 6 will see a launch in May 2026, following a delay from its original 2025 target. The game is set to debut on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, promising a massive open world, new gameplay mechanics, and an intense storyline set in the sun-drenched chaos of America’s criminal underworld.
