Starlink Mini, the compact satellite internet kit from SpaceX, is back on sale in Canada for $399, down from its regular $599. The limited-time offer, spotted by Tesla North, ends on May 28.
First launched in Canada in December 2024 at the same promo price, the Starlink Mini is built for people on the move. Its small size lets it fit easily into a backpack, and it comes with a built-in Wi-Fi router and low power consumption—ideal for remote work, van life, camping, or off-grid adventures.
Travellers and digital nomads have been drawn to Starlink Mini for its portability and reliable high-speed internet. With max download speeds over 100 Mbps, it lets users stream, work, or stay in touch almost anywhere. It also works while in motion—up to 160 km/h—making it a go-to option for RV owners or those who live on the road.
The Mini Roam plan starts at $70/month for 50GB of data, with an unlimited option at $189/month. These plans work across 100+ countries. The regular Starlink kit costs $499 in Canada (or free in some regions, if you’re lucky), with a residential plan priced at $140/month.
Starlink’s plug-and-play setup is another reason for its popularity. There’s no tech expertise needed—just plug in, aim at the sky, and you’re online in minutes. For travellers looking for fast, flexible internet far from urban centres, Starlink Mini is tough to beat, for now (Amazon’s Kuiper satellite internet hasn’t launched yet).
