Download Fortnite on iPhone: App Store Link is Back in U.S.

Apple has finally approved Fortnite and it’s now back in the U.S. App Store (sorry, Canada).
On Monday, a Judge said Apple must put Fortnite back in the App Store, or face questions in court as to why there was a delay. As of Tuesday afternoon, those in the U.S. can now download Fortnite for iPhone and iPad.
“Fortnite is back! Be the last player standing in Battle Royale, OG and Zero Build, carry your squad to victory in fast-paced Reload, build your own adventures in LEGO Fortnite, or headline a concert in Fortnite Festival — it’s all here,” explains the Fortnite description in the App Store.
“Play thousands of free creator-made islands with your friends, including tycoons, deathruns, zombie survival, and more,” it adds.
Fortnite returns to the U.S. App Store after a four-year battle sparked by Epic Games’ 2020 introduction of a direct payment system to bypass Apple’s 30% commission, leading to the game’s removal and a major lawsuit. Epic’s challenge, bolstered by a viral “1984” parody campaign, accused Apple of monopolistic control over iOS app payments and distribution.
A California court ruled Apple violated a 2021 injunction by blocking alternative payment methods, mirroring EU Digital Markets Act findings that allowed Fortnite’s return in Europe earlier in 2024.
Epic CEO Tim Sweeney hailed the end of Apple’s “junk fees,” with Fortnite’s absence lasting 4 years, 4 months, and 17 days.
Click here to download Fortnite in the App Store for iPhone and iPad. The download is coming at 576MB (but you’ll need to download more over the air afterwards) and requires 17.4 or later for iPhone or iPad.
