Google AI Ultra Plan in Canada: Not Available Yet, But Soon

Google has launched a new premium subscription called Google AI Ultra, offering its most powerful AI tools and features for $249.99/month in the U.S. The announcement was part of the Google I/O ’25 opening Keynote.
The plan is now available in the U.S., but global expansion, including Canada, expected soon. At $249.99 USD per month? Current exchange rates put that at about $347 CAD per month (Google might round up to $349.99 CAD per month?).
This top-tier subscription, available through Google One, is aimed at professionals and creators who want access to the best of Google’s AI services. It includes enhanced access to Google’s Gemini AI models and tools for research, coding, content creation, and filmmaking.
Here’s what’s included:
- Gemini App: Highest usage limits and early access to next-gen models like Veo 3.
- Flow: A video-making tool using Google DeepMind’s AI, with support for high-quality video and detailed controls.
- Whisk: Transforms text and image prompts into short animated videos.
- NotebookLM: Boosted support for AI-based study and project work.
- Gemini in Google Apps: Integrated directly into Gmail, Docs, Chrome, and more to help users manage tasks faster.
- Project Mariner: A dashboard for juggling up to 10 tasks at once using AI.
- YouTube Premium: Included at no extra charge.
- 30TB Cloud Storage: For Google Photos, Drive, and Gmail.
Google’s current AI Premium plan has been rebranded as Google AI Pro, which now includes some of the new tools from Ultra — like Flow and Gemini in Chrome — at no extra cost. That upgrade is rolling out first in the U.S. In Canada, Gemini Pro remains at $26.99 per month.
The new AI Ultra plan includes a 50% discount for the first three months to new users, as an incentive to get sign ups in the USA.
In addition, students in select countries including Japan, Brazil, Indonesia, the U.K., and the U.S. will get free access to the Pro plan for one academic year.
There’s no word yet on Canadian pricing or release, but it’s expected to follow soon. Check out the promo video below:

So, nobody knows anything, and the article was pointless. Thanks.
