How to Watch Summer Game Fest 2025 and What to Expect

It’s that time of year again. Summer Game Fest is kicking off today, ushering in a weekend of game announcements and reveals. The substitute for E3, hosted and organized by Geoff Keighley, is being live streamed this evening.
Summer Game Fest began in 2020 as a competitve in-person and virtual event to compete with the now-defunct E3. The annual event opts to reveal new game trailers, announcing upcfoming titles. Summer Game Fest is also an outstanding event to get updates on already announced games that may be soon to release.
Prior to the event, Keighley revealed over 60 partners that are supporting this year’s event. This includes publishers like 505 Games, Amazon Games, Bandai Namco, CD Projeckt RED, IO Interactive, Meta, PlayStation, Square Enix, Steam, and Xbox. Although it’s far from concrete proof, it appears as though many publishers will be taking the time to show off some of their biggest titles during the show.
For instance, 505 Games has Wu Chang: Fallen Feathers on the roster to release this year. Little Nightmares 3, and Shadow Labyrinth are both expected from Bandai Namco. During PlayStation’s State of Play, we got our first look at 007 First Light from IO Interactive, which may appear. Xbox has a full roster of upcoming titles, including Fable, Perfect Dark, Gears of War: E-Day, and ClockWork Revolution. It seems likely that more than a few of these games will appear during the show.
On-top of a live streamed event, Summer Game Fest continues as an in-person industry event where many of the games shown will be available to preview with hands-on demos.
Summer Game Fest 2025 begins at Friday, June 6 at 5 PM ET/ 2PM ET. You can tune in and watch through the embed above. The show will also stream on Twitch and Steam.
