Apple’s ‘Games’ App Leak? New Domain Goes Live Before WWDC

Apple appears to be laying the groundwork for a new Apple Games app, expected to be one of the features announced with iOS 26 during its WWDC keynote set to kick off in an hour.

A new domain—games.apple.com—quietly went live ahead of the event, reports 9to5Mac. While the page currently shows nothing but a blank white screen, its activation signals that Apple is preparing to launch related content soon. Previously, the URL returned a typical server error, but it now loads cleanly, suggesting something is in the works.

The new Apple Games app is expected to bring together curated games from both the App Store and Apple Arcade. It’s also set to include social features pulled from Game Center, such as achievements and friends leaderboards.

It’s unclear what the web version will include. It might just be a simple marketing page, like the one used for the main App Store at apps.apple.com. But Apple could go further, potentially allowing web-based previews or sharable links for specific games, says 9to5Mac.

Last October, 9to5Mac heard Apple was working on a new gaming hub to combine the App Store and Game Center into a single app. Last month, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman corrobarated that noting the video game app would be available across all devices.

We’ll find out soon in less than an hour. Stay tuned for all the coverage!
