AirPods Pro 3 Expected in 2026, According to Industry Analyst

GF Securities Hong Kong analyst Jeff Pu suggests that Apple may not launch its AirPods Pro 3 until 2026. Pu suggests previous product timelines may be skewed and that Apple is holding its next iteration of high-end earbuds until later than expected.
In a product launch timeline (via @jukanlosreve), Pu states that AirPods Pro 3 is now expected in 2026. This, by and large, contradicts other analyst predictions that have come in the past. Previously, Bloomberg‘s Mark Gurman claimed that a new pair of AirPods was “months away” and suggested they’d be featuring heart rate monitoring. With this framework in mind, it was theorized that Apple may be launching its new AirPods Pro 3 by late 2025.
Aside from offering the broad window of “2026”, there’s no other information regarding the launch timing for AirPods Pro 3 made by Pu.
Very early rumours surrounding the AirPods Pro 3 revolve around the idea that Apple may introduce improved active noise cancellation (ANC). It’s been claimed that the ANC technology will be “much better” when compared to the previous pro-level earbuds.
Other rumours surrounding AirPods include the potential introduction of infrared cameras. These cameras are supposedly designed to capture gestures that can be made to control the earbuds. Health tracking improvements are expected to be made as well.
Given that there has now been a four-year gap between the AirPods Pro 2 and its successor, Apple is likely to be investing in a ton of new technologies to bolster the new device.
