Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition Launches on Mac on July 17

At long last, Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition is making its way to macOS this week. After tentatively being scheduled for early 2025, the game will be available on Apple silicon Mac devices on July 17th.
Developer CD Projekt Red took to X (formerly Twitter) to announce that the game will finally be available to Mac owners this week. Optimized for Apple’s M-series Mac devices, Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition will run on devices featuring the M1 chipset to the latest M4 processors.
In a follow-up post, CD Projekt Red states that hopeful players will have to have a Mac with 16GB or more of unified memory, meaning some models like the base 8GB M1 and M2 devices won’t be able to support the game.
Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition looks to be optimized to take full advantage of Apple’s M4 silicon. This includes the likely support of path tracing. However, there will be graphics presets available that are optimized for each M-series chipset.
CD Projekt Red also states that players who have previously purchased the game on Steam, GOG, or Epic Games Store will gain access to the Mac version of the same SKU at no extra charge. This applies across the base game, the Phantom Liberty expansion, as well as Ultimate Edition.
Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition is launching on macOS right after the rollout of the 2.3 patch. CD Projekt Red recently introduced cross-progression for all platforms, including progression within the Phantom Liberty expansion. The latest patch also folds in new vehicles as well as photo mode enhancements. All of this will be supported on the Mac version of the game.
