Apple Highlights Clean Up AI Tool in New iPhone 16 Ad [VIDEO]
Apple has published a playful new ad for its iPhone 16 lineup, putting the spotlight on the ‘Clean Up’ AI-based editing tool, a part of the broader Apple Intelligence suite.

The commercial introduces viewers to how the feature works through a humorous scene: a man snaps a photo of a woman and her cat, then uses the Clean Up option to erase the cat from the image. The reaction, as expected, isn’t positive, prompting him to undo the change with a simple tap.
The moment serves as both a tutorial and a reminder that edits made using this tool are fully reversible.
The Clean Up feature is Apple’s answer to object removal tools seen in other AI-powered editing platforms. Available directly within the Photos app, Clean Up allows users to remove distracting or unwanted elements from their pictures with just a swipe. Once selected, the AI intelligently blends the surrounding environment to fill in the erased object, aiming for a natural and seamless result.
Integrated into Apple Intelligence, Clean Up uses machine learning models processed locally on the device to enhance privacy while delivering sophisticated photo-editing capabilities. Unlike cloud-based alternatives, this approach keeps user data more secure, aligning with Apple’s longstanding commitment to privacy.
Currently, Clean Up is supported on devices running Apple Intelligence, which includes the iPhone 15 Pro, the newly released iPhone 16 series, and it will also be part of the upcoming iPhone 17 lineup. Check out the ad below and share your thoughts with us in the comments section.
