Did Rogers and Fido Just Quietly Kill Their Community Forums?

The Rogers and Fido online community forums allowed customers to interact with other customers and also get support for issues related to wireless, internet, TV and more from staff.

But now it appears Rogers has quietly killed off its online forums, including the Fido forums as well.

Navigating to the Rogers and Fido community forums now redirects to regular support webpages. This means the forums are no longer accessible and again removes a layer of support for customers. It seems like a clear sign they are gone for good, but this could be a maintenance thing and they have been taken offline temporarily.

Rogers hasn’t made any announcements about this change. Its @RogersHelps account on X still has a bio that says, “For more online help visit communityforums.rogers.com,” which may be outdated if the forums have been permanently removed.

The Fido account on X just links to the company’s TikTok account.

Last month, Rogers ended a contract with a call centre partner, replacing hundreds of service agents with an AI chatbot named ‘Anna’. It’s hard for Rogers customers to get support nowadays, as Sunday phone and chat help has been limited beyond tech support.

If the forums are gone, it’s definitely time to pour one out. The Fido forums have been around for ages, dating back to when it was acquired by Rogers in 2004.

We’ve reached out to Rogers and will update this story accordingly.

Freaky, I know back in the day, about 10-15+ years ago those Rogers forums were super handy for securing newly released iPhones, which locations had them, etc, back when it was first come first serve, stand in line for hours, for these things.

Are you sure you're referring to Rogers forums and not Howard Forums??

Seems like Rogers is penny pinching now. Their forums were trash anyways. Their Reddit forums are worse though.

any updates on this? Telus still has their Telus Neighbourhood…How do we get this issue addressed. Chat & phone support often have unknown length wait times 5 minutes to over 5 hours? I went 15th in queue once and waited 2 hours before cancellling as only had progress to 7 in queue. and have waited even longer. Phone wait is worse as we all know with no estiamte of wait time like we use to have with Shaw and no callback with we used to have with Shaw. Sadly now Telus has callback and wait-time estimates which they did not have until just recently (past few years) … arggh.

I have used forums/discussions for at least 30 years on Shaw. I often got an adequate answer rather than waiting.

Facebook & X have not been updated with any comments in months as well.

The forums used to be adequately helpful from Shaw especially a few years ago with Shaw team participated.
It is a shame as it only should take 3-5 employees to handle forums.

Rogers 'customer services" seems to be significantly gone. AND NO PRESS RELEASE??

Anna does very very very little with any issues ..
