Dolby Vision 2 Launches with AI Powered Enhancements
Dolby Laboratories has unveiled a new chapter in high dynamic range television with Dolby Vision 2, marking a remarkable evolution in how we experience content at home.

The new release elevates the established Dolby Vision standard by employing advanced artificial intelligence, and a redesigned image engine to deliver more vivid and true to life picture quality than ever before.
A key feature of Dolby Vision 2 is Content Intelligence, an AI-powered toolkit designed to tailor picture settings automatically based on what you are watching where you are watching and what device you have.
This smart system includes several major upgrades like Precision Black, that addresses complaints about dark scenes appearing too dim by improving clarity without altering the creative vision. Light Sense adapts display settings using ambient light sensors, along with reference lighting data from the content source, to give optimal viewing in any environment.
Additional enhancements for sports and gaming include refined white balance adjustments and smarter motion handling so fast action remains crisp and controlled.
Dolby Vision 2 also introduces advanced tone mapping for more vibrant colors and contrast that fully utilize modern televisions high brightness and color capabilities while preserving the artistic intent of the content. This feature gives content creators greater control over how brightness and color appear on capable screens.

Beyond HDR, traditional smooth motion tools often create unwanted effects but Dolby Vision 2 introduces Authentic Motion, a creative driven motion control feature that removes judder shot by shot helping maintain a cinematic feel while keeping visuals smooth.
To help consumers understand what features to expect, Dolby Vision 2 will come in two clear tiers. The standard tier delivers the core content intelligence and image engine benefits to mainstream televisions. Dolby Vision 2 Max includes additional premium features intended for high performance sets offering the richest possible picture quality.
Hisense becomes the first TV brand to commit to Dolby Vision 2 bringing the technology to upcoming RGB Mini LED models powered by the MediaTek Pentonic 800 chip.
