Forsaken 64 is the Latest Game to Join Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion

On Thursday, September 4th, Forsaken 64 will be added to the Nintendo Classics library as part of Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack. This is the latest game to enter the fray for subscribers.

As announced by Nintendo of Canada, Forsaken 64 will be made available to all players who have an active Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscription. “Forsaken 64 is coming to the Nintendo 64 – Nintendo Classics: Mature app,” the company says.

As the game has an ESBR rating of ‘M’, the game will be on the separate N64 Mature 17+ app, which locks mature-rated games from younger players.

Forsaken 64 was first released in 1998 and was published by Acclaim Entertainment. Developed by Probe Entertainment, the game is a 3D first-person shooter in the style of the 1995 film Decent. Players navigate a futuristic Earth that has seen civilization fall due to a global shockwave. You’ll have to explore deep underground tunnels as you explore, using a vehicle as you attempt to reclaim the lost treasures of the planet.

You are a ruthless mercenary, sent to the condemned remains of Earth as part of a covert operation codenamed “Forsaken,” the trailer’s description reads. “Your mission is to infiltrate and destroy the last bastions of the mechanized terror that wiped out all life on the planet. Earth is a death trap riddled with merciless mechanoid adversaries and gangs of rival bounty hunters, and you’ll have to brave them all astride your anti-grav pioncycle to make your fortune…or meet your doom

Players can choose from four difficulty modes while playing. Each one alters enemy difficulty as well as the amount of ammo you’ll come across. In addition, there are six multiplayer modes in the game, including Team Deathmatch, Free-for-All, and Capture the Flag.

Forsaken 64 is now the 40th Nintendo 64 game to be made available on Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack. Most recently, games like Killer Instinct Gold and Banjo-Tooie were made available to subscribers.

An annual subscription to Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack is available for $69.99 in Canada. Additionally, Nintendo offers a 12-month Family Membership, including up to eight accounts, for $109.99.
