Killer Instinct Gold Now Available on Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack

Nintendo has added Killer Instinct Goldthe iconic fighting game from the N64 era to Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack. Subscribers of the service can now install the game and play.

Killer Instinct Gold is a Rare-developed fighting game. The title first launched back in 1996 and was often looked at as Rare’s answer to Mortal Kombat. The game features 2D fighting set across 3D backgrounds, similar to a classic arcade cabinet fighter. Players can throw punches, kicks, and chain combos to fight and defeat their opponents. The controls of the game are often compared to Street Fighter.

In Killer Instinct Gold, players will have a chance to play through the classic arcade mode and choose from a roster of 10 fighters. You can also challenge a friend’s favourite characters in Team Mode. Alternatively, you can face off against a friend or another player online in the round-robin-style Tournament mode with up to eight players! Killer Instinct Gold also includes a Training Mode to sharpen your skills and practice.
