Apple has released a new YouTube video called The Can’t Decide Guide: A Guided Tour of the New iPhone Family, walking viewers through the entire iPhone 17 family. The video highlights the four models available this year: the iPhone 17, the all-new iPhone Air, and the higher-end iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max.

The iPhone 17 comes in five colours — Sage, Mist Blue, White, Black, and Lavender — and features a 6.3-inch ProMotion display, Apple’s new A19 chip, and a 48-megapixel Dual Fusion camera system. It also introduces the new Center Stage front camera for selfies and video.

The iPhone Air, which Apple calls its thinnest iPhone ever at just 5.6mm, is powered by the A19 Pro chip. It has a 6.5-inch display, dual Ceramic Shield protection on the front and back, and a 48MP Fusion camera with 2x zoom. Apple says it’s built to balance a lightweight design with durability.

For those wanting the most powerful iPhone, the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max bring new aluminum unibody designs with integrated vapour chambers for cooling. They are powered by the A19 Pro chip and come with three 48MP rear cameras, including Apple’s longest-ever 8x optical zoom lens. The Pro Max also delivers what Apple calls its “best battery life ever.” The Pro models are available in Deep Blue, Silver, and Cosmic Orange.

All models in the iPhone 17 lineup include the Center Stage front camera, Dual Capture for recording with both front and rear cameras, and Apple’s new Ceramic Shield 2, which is said to be up to three times more scratch resistant.

Apple positions the video as a quick tour to help people choose between the different devices, ending with reminders about trade-in options, financing (0% APR in Canada), and AppleCare for setup and support.

Patients. Tough it out and wait until the iPhone 18 which will have the new modem chip (not the old C1 that's been around for a years now) plus a several more improvements. But it's going to cost you. Which isn't a problem for the privileged folks especially those hose driving $80K pickup trucks or SUVs who have the IQ of a potato.
