Apple Watch Series 11, Ultra 3, SE 3 Launch Without 5G in Canada

Apple’s newest Apple Watch Series 11, SE and Ultra 3 debuted today with the major announcement of 5G networking support, but that won’t be available in Canada.
According to Apple, these new Apple Watches will only support LTE in Canada. In the U.S. and other nations, 5G networking is listed for Apple Watch is available, alongside LTE.
During Apple’s September special event, it listed a slide showing global carrier partners that will support 5G on Apple Watch. Rogers, Telus and Bell are notably absent, despite ongoing rhetoric of being some of the best networks in the world. Well, they aren’t the ones to fully take the blame.
The federal government has been slower than many nations in implementing 5G, primarily due to delayed spectrum auctions (e.g., 3500 MHz in 2021, 3800 MHz in 2023) and limited mid-band spectrum allocation (51.1 MHz vs. OECD’s 80-100 MHz).
Telecoms listed included Csl, Etisalat, 3, Sunrise, AIS, M1, NTT Docomo, Au, SoftBank, China Unicom, China Mobile, China Telecom, Orange, AT&T, Metro by T-Mobile, T-Mobile, Verizon, EE, SmarTone, CTM, Singtel, Movistar, Zain, Boost Mobile, UScellular, Jio and Du.

So if you were going to pre-order a new Apple Watch, the company has made it clear that only LTE is support for now in Canada.

is the chip in the device still?
Anyone think they are physically different models then US or when 5G is available in Canada it will just work?
It has the same modem – just that 5G redcap support is still pretty limited in Canada, but it will likely work on these watches in the future.
Why do Canadians always have to wait for these features all the time! Makes no sense! Even other countries get them before we do!
Not Apple's fault – Roger's is the only carrier that has even started to rollout support for 5G redcap and that was just in June so I imagine it is still pretty limited.
Probably 5G RedCap not ready in Canada operators.
As usual, Rogers has made announcements and press releases about launch but nothing's been deployed. Just like how they handled SA 5G.
