Samsung Trolls Apple Hard During iPhone 17 Launch, Again

While Apple was showing off its new iPhone 17 lineup yesterday, during its special event, Samsung US was busy trolling the company on X, yet again.

During the livestream, Samsung fired off several sarcastic posts using the cringey hashtag #iCant.

  • β€œ#iCant believe this is still relevant. πŸ’€β€ β€” a callback to its 2022 tweet mocking Apple’s lack of a foldable phone.

  • β€œ48MP x 3 still doesn’t equal 200MP πŸ™ƒ #iCant” β€” pointing out its higher camera megapixels.

  • β€œActual innovation > hype #iCant” – referring to Apple’s glazing of the iPhone 17 Pro Max

  • β€œ#iCant believe some people had to wait 5 years for Sleep Score πŸ«£β€ – ouch

  • β€œπŸŽ just announced live translation at Zzz-note πŸ₯± All we can say is, welcome to the party πŸ₯³ #iCant” – referring to Apple’s live translation features in AirPods Pro 3.

Samsung has a history of roasting Apple during big launches, and this was no different. The posts made it clear the company wasn’t about to let Apple’s spotlight go unchallenged. It’s hard to see how you can gain new customers when you’re mocking prospective ones.

Back in September 2024, when Apple launched the iPhone 16 series, Samsung wasted no time trolling. The company reposted its 2022 β€œLet us know when it folds” tweet on X (yes, again), adding β€œStill waiting…” to highlight Apple’s lack of a foldable device.

At WWDC 2025 in June, Samsung was at it again. As Apple revealed iOS 26 and iPadOS 26, Samsung Mobile US tweeted: β€œCustomizable apps? Floating bars? That sleek glass UI? Looks… familiar πŸ€”.” The post implied Apple had copied parts of Samsung’s One UI.

Samsung also mocked Apple’s new live translation and AI watch features with lines like: β€œNew to live translations? Welcome aboard! We’ve been translating text and speech in real-time for a while now… #GalaxyAI.” Other one-liners included, β€œAI is coming to your watch? Cute. Ours already knows when you’re too tired to care 😴 #GalaxyAI.”

The rival once mocked Apple for removing the headphone jack in 2016, even running ads highlighting it. By 2019, Samsung removed the jack on its own phones and quietly deleted those ads. Pot, meet kettle.

Samsung continues to show it isn’t letting up when it comes to trolling Apple during its biggest product moments. What do you think about Samsung? Some could even say its super thing Galaxy S25 Edge was created to get ahead of the iPhone Air.

Sorry but android phones OS slow down to an inusable state after just a few months. iPhones never do. The os runs as quick years later as it did at launch.

Apple thinks they're omnipotent, they don't need to troll anyone.

The fact that they’re mercilessly trolled means Samsung thinks so too
