Starlink Internet is Down in Canada, U.S. and Beyond Again [Update]

SpaceX’s Starlink appears to be suffering another outage and it’s affecting users in Canada, the U.S. and beyond, with many stating the outage occured around 9:30pm PT on Sunday evening (12:30am ET on Monday).

In Canada, we’re seeing reports of Starlink being down in Alberta, with over 8,000 reports of outages in the past hour alone according to Down Detector.

Here’s a list of some states where Starlink is down right now, according to Down Detector, which is seeing about 50,000 reports of outages in the United States:

  • Alabama
  • Arizona (including northern AZ and Utah/Arizona border)
  • California (San Diego, Yosemite)
  • Colorado
  • Idaho (North Idaho)
  • Kentucky (Eastern KY)
  • Maryland
  • Montana
  • Nevada (Pahrump)
  • Norway
  • Ohio (Northeast Ohio)
  • Texas (South Texas)
  • Utah (Southern Utah)
  • Washington State

Reports are also stating Starlink is down in Sweden, Chile, Argentina and more.

Update September 14, 2025, 9:53pm PT: Many people are now saying Starlink is coming back online, so this outage looks to have lasted a short 25 minutes or so. How to get back online and fix this Starlink outage. Some mentioned rebooting both their Starlink router and dish made everything go back online again, so give that a try.

Some are saying a strong geomagnetic storm (Kp7) is happening right now in northern regions, and it could cause temporary disruptions to Starlink since the satellites rely on stable signals from space. During these storms, the charged particles from the sun can interfere with satellite connections, which may lead to slower speeds, brief dropouts, or trouble staying connected until conditions settle down.
