Apple and Amazon Canada Drop 2025 Holiday Return Dates—One’s Way Better

Apple has officially announced its 2025 holiday return policy—a detail that wasn’t listed yesterday when we checked—giving shoppers extra time to return gifts bought during the busy season.

Apple says eligible products purchased from the Apple Store Online between November 12 and December 25, 2025, can be returned until January 8, 2026. All other terms from Apple’s standard Sales and Refunds Policy still apply. Items bought after December 25 will follow Apple’s regular return policy.

As for Amazon Canada, it says most items bought between November 1 and December 31, 2025, can be returned until January 31, 2026. However, Apple brand products purchased on Amazon have a shorter return window, with returns accepted through January 15, 2026. Still, that’s a pretty good length for a return policy for an Apple product, longer than Apple’s own policy.

The rationale behind these lengthier return policy is that it allows early bird Christmas shoppers to have returns or exchanges for presents that will open on December 25.

These extended return windows give shoppers flexibility to buy early and still have weeks after the holidays to make returns or exchanges. For instance, an expensive gadget like Apple’s $5,000 Vision Pro headset could be tested for nearly two months before the final return deadline—if your wallet allows it.
