Some big news is here for Apple TV subscribers and especially Major League Soccer fans.
MLS and Apple announced on Thursday that starting in 2026, every MLS match will be included with a standard Apple TV subscription, with no extra MLS Season Pass required. The separate Season Pass offering will end after the 2025 season.
Beginning next year, Apple TV subscribers will be able to watch all regular-season games, the Leagues Cup, the MLS All-Star Game, the Campeones Cup, and the full MLS Cup Playoffs in more than 100 regions.
“We’re thrilled to bring MLS to more fans around the world next season on Apple TV,” said Eddy Cue, Apple’s senior vice president of Services. “Every match, all in one place, alongside incredible Apple Originals — it’s a win for fans everywhere.”
The shift gives fans one place to watch all matches without blackout restrictions, and arrives as interest in North American soccer builds ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
“Our partnership with Apple has always been about innovating for our fans,” said Don Garber, Major League Soccer’s commissioner. “Bringing every MLS match to Apple TV takes that vision to the next level by making it easier than ever for fans everywhere to watch, connect, and be part of the game.”
The change also brings Apple TV’s studio shows and on-demand MLS content under the same subscription. Full-season ticket holders for 2026 will get Apple TV included with their packages.
Now this change is good for Apple TV subscribers. But if I was previously paying for Season Pass and now it’s free for everyone? I’d be a bit peeved.

That’s good news for season ticket holders! I was finding the price of AppleTV+ too expensive, so before I just had the season pass free included with my season ticket, now I will get AppleTV for free! 🎉🍾

That's not how it works. Season pass is for the season, so it officially ends in February, but of course people stop watching after MLS cup in November. So no one has already paid for next season, and no need to feel peeved.
In fact it's better. I used to only pay for MLS season pass, so it would cost me $80 ($100 if I couldn't find a free Apple TV subscription to lower the cost). Now I have to pay a bit more ($130) but I get MLS and Apple TV
They already had their MLS 360 show and a couple random games per week free, which was good enough for me, but including all games/content under the existing TV subscription is certainly a win… assuming the price stays at $129/yr.
