Starlink Just Dropped Internet Prices in Canada Starting at $70
SpaceX’s Starlink now has cheaper internet plans in Canada, with prices starting at $70 CAD per month. The company expanded two new options called Residential 100 Mbps and Residential Lite, joining the regular Residential plan.
The idea is to give households more choice based on how much speed they need and how heavy their internet usage is.
The new Residential 100 Mbps plan is the lowest-cost option at $70 per month. It includes unlimited data and download speeds capped at 100 Mbps, while upload speeds are not limited. Starlink says this plan works best for smaller households of about two or three people who mainly browse the web, join video calls and stream in 4K.
Here is the Starlink coverage map for Residential Lite:
In some regions, the plan includes free installation and a $0 equipment kit, although this varies by location. The plan is only available in select areas, and existing customers can switch if the option appears in their account.
Residential Lite is the next option at $110 per month. It has no speed caps, although speeds may slow down during peak hours compared to the full Residential plan. Starlink expects typical download speeds of 80 to 200 Mbps and upload speeds of 15 to 35 Mbps. Residential Lite is meant for smaller households with lighter internet needs and it is only available in certain regions.
The regular Residential plan remains at $140 per month. This plan offers Starlink’s fastest speeds and the highest network priority. It is geared toward larger households or anyone who streams a lot, downloads large games or runs many devices at the same time.
Starlink first launched its Residential Lite plan back in February of this year in the U.S., and now this expansion to Canada comes ahead of Black Friday.
All three plans include unlimited data. Customers can move between plans if the option is available in their area. If you’re in a rural area and just need basic reliable high speed internet, these new Residential and Residential Lite plans will fit the bill.

Fantastic service and set it up myself. It’s just over 60 Canadian dollars per month! And consistent higher internet speeds between 90 and 100 mps and unlimited data. Quite a difference between paying Bell Canada $140.00 a month and never getting more than 25 mbps and only 600 gb per month!! Always horrible but it was my only choice living in a rural community. Starlink is fantastic! Also the equipment was free just paid $21.00 for the shipping.
fantastic!
