WhatsApp Unveils New Calls Tab Layout With Scheduling
WhatsApp has just unveiled its updated Calls Tab introduces scheduling, call link sharing, and a cleaner interface to make calls easier to manage and more intuitive.

The revamped Calls Tab is part of a larger redesign that moves core navigation controls to the bottom of the screen, a change that has gradually become visible for both Android and iOS users.
Previously the tabs for Chats, Calls, Status, and more sat at the top of the screen. Now Chats, Communities (or Updates), Status and Calls appear as bottom tabs, making them easier to access especially on larger screens. The change appears geared toward convenience, especially for users who navigate the app with one hand.
Along with repositioning navigation tabs, WhatsApp has been working to modernize the look and feel of call-related pages. In the last beta releases for Android, WhatsApp introduced a redesigned “call info” interface. That page now bears resemblance to chat info, including larger contact pictures at the top and easily accessible shortcuts to messaging, voice, or video calling below.
More significantly, the Calls Tab now serves as a sort of “call hub” where users can not only see past calls but also upcoming scheduled calls, attendee lists, and shareable call links. This is part of a recent update that lets users schedule calls from within the Calls Tab by tapping a “+” button, selecting a time and participants, and sending an invitation to an individual or a group.
Once scheduled, the call will show up under “Upcoming Calls,” and invitees will receive a reminder before the call begins.

During group calls users now have additional in-call features designed to make communication smoother. There is a “raise hand” button that allows participants to signal when they want to speak without interrupting others. There is also support for emoji reactions in real time, so people can respond without affecting the flow of conversation.
If you have not updated WhatsApp yet, you might not immediately see the new Calls Tab look. The rollout seems incremental and may take time to reach all users depending on region and device type.
