Koodo Is Texting Customers a Holiday Deal You Won’t Find Online

Telus flanker brand Koodo has started texting existing customers with a new set of holiday offers that include discounted 5G plans, a waived connection fee and optional device financing on the Happy Tab.

The message advertises a $35 per month plan with 60GB of 5G Nationwide data, or a $45 per month option with 120GB. Both prices include Koodo’s auto pay discount.

Looking at Koodo’s website right now, the closest offering we’re seeing is $50/50GB and $75/100GB. So these are definitely cheaper than what’s available, especially the 120GB offering. But really, how much data do you actually need?

As part of the promo, Koodo is also waiving its $80 connection fee for customers who make the switch. Typically, that fee is only waived if you activate online.

Koodo’s text also hints at another offer described as “too good to put in writing,” though no details were included in the message.

If you received this text, did Koodo give you any additional plan options? This could be offers to hook customers in before any potential Boxing Day deals come through later this month.

They should rather make those their boxing Day plans and attract new clients, their regular plans are a joke.
