Fido vs Virgin Plus vs Koodo Plans: What’s New in Dec. 2025
Black Friday and Cyber Monday wireless “deals” are now over, so let’s take a look at the current plans from Fido, Virgin Plus and Koodo, as of December 3, 2025.
What we are seeing are price increases for minimum data plans back to $45 (instead of $40), while data has dropped to 10GB instead of 50GB during Black Friday.
Here are Fido, Virgin Plus and Koodo plans compared as of today for bring your own device and after autopay discounts:
Fido
- $45/10GB
- $50/40GB
- $55/60GB
Virgin Plus
- $45/10GB
- $50/50GB
- $55/60GB
Koodo
- $45/10GB
- $50/40GB
- $55/60GB
- $75/100GB
Virgin Plus has 10GB more data for its $50 plan compared to rivals, while Koodo is still the only one with a 100GB plan. Gone is the Canada-US-Mexico plan from Koodo that was available for $30 via Reddit.
Let’s wait a week or two as these plans will magically reverse course for Boxing Day (err, month).

Freedom has a better deal than any of those. The 10GB plan is $34 with them with autopay and they guarantee not to raise the price (the Virgin $35 deal I got last year went up to $40 6 months later). Also, some places are still offering this plan for $20 for the first 6 months (I saw this in Kelowna and Penticton, BC as of Dec. 2) and in Penticton they were still offering $0 for the first 3 months which I ended up getting. So some stores have promos that are not being offering on their website. If you live in a place where they have service it might be worth the shot to try them out for a few months… so far so good in Penticton!
It is getting really bad. I got 50gb for $29.
