Google AI Pro and 2 TB Storage Are Half Price Right Now

Google is closing out 2025 with a fairly aggressive deal on its cloud storage and AI subscriptions, offering more than 50% off several Google One annual plans for new subscribers.

As first reported by 9to5Google, Google is running a limited-time promotion that discounts its Google One 2 TB and Google AI Pro annual plans by 50% or more for the first year. The offer is framed as a New Year’s push and appears to be live until around New Year’s Eve.

“For a limited time, new members get from 50% off the Google AI Pro annual plan (auto renews at the subscription price after offer ends),” Google said in a post on X. “You’ll get higher access to Gemini 3 Pro, Nano Banana Pro, Deep Research, and 2TB of Cloud Storage. Plus, share your plan with up to 5 others at no additional cost.”

In the U.S., the Google One Premium 2 TB plan is discounted to $49.99 USD for the first year, down from its regular $99.99 price. Google AI Pro, which bundles advanced Gemini features with 2 TB of storage, is also half off at $99.99 USD for the first year instead of $199.99.

In Canada, Google is advertising a similar “50% off or more” promotion. Canadian pricing varies slightly, but the core message remains the same: significant discounts on annual Google One and AI-focused plans, including storage, Gemini upgrades, and shared family access.

Google AI Pro unlocks higher usage limits across the Gemini app, including access to Gemini 3 Pro, Nano Banana Pro, Deep Research, and expanded image and video generation tools. Subscribers also get a massive 2 TB of cloud storage, which can be shared with up to five other people at no extra cost. The plan includes perks like enhanced Google Workspace features, expanded AI tools in Google Photos, NotebookLM, and Flow, plus limited YouTube Premium discounts.

Interestingly, while Google’s messaging focuses on AI Pro, the deal appears to extend beyond just one tier. Reports suggest the discount also applies to the basic Google One 100 GB plan, the standard 2 TB Premium plan, and even the high-end Google AI Ultra plans, which include a whopping 30 TB of storage.

The timing of the promotion is notable. Google One has over 100 million subscribers globally as of last year, and the company is clearly pushing deeper AI integration into its subscription model at a time when its AI practices are also facing increased regulatory scrutiny, particularly in Europe.

If you’ve been on the fence about paying for Gemini’s more advanced features or upgrading your cloud storage, this is one of the steepest Google One discounts we’ve seen — just keep in mind it’s for new subscribers only, and prices will auto-renew at the regular rate once the first year ends.
