Bell Joins Telus With Targeted Wireless Price Hikes Next Month

Bell is raising wireless prices for some customers, with increases of $6 per month set to take effect in February 2026.

An iPhone in Canada reader told us they were notified of the increase and warned Bell they would leave unless a better deal was offered. “Threatened to leave as Bell is raising rates $6 per line in Feb. Offered the above to stay which I took. $40 for Can USA Mex BYOD great deal,” the reader said. They then placed a cancellation order on both mobile lines.

After the reader indicated they were leaving, Bell magically followed up with a “winback” text message offering discounted plans (a “winback” plan is a sweetheart deal to lure you back). The message read, “We’re sorry to see you go, let’s get you reconnected. Get 100GB for $45/mo. (with $10/mo. Autopay credit) and up to $400 off a new phone. Or, bring your own phone and get 75GB for $30/mo. (with $10/mo. Autopay credit).”

According to the reader, the offer they accepted includes more data than advertised, as confirmed in screenshots seen by iPhone in Canada. They jumped on a 150GB of Canada U.S. Mexico data, plus 1,000 Canada to international calling minutes, for $40 per month with bring your own device and autopay enabled. Another option offered was $30 per month for 100GB with autopay with same coverage.

Bell has not publicly detailed how many customers are affected by the February 2026 price increase, but similar notices have begun appearing on customer bills and messages ahead of the change.

So now we have Telus increasing wireless prices for some customers by $7 in February, and now Bell is doing the same at $6 for some as well. Rogers customers must feel so left out right now. It’s best to start checking your billing statement for any surprise increases.

price increase should be illegal or at least in a 1-5 year span max. i only reason why people stay with them is coverage.
im with freedom and 98% im on wifi, when im out i still clear 140gb a month. switch everyone and show this robelus that there other options

Price increases should be illegal, you made a deal when you signed up for that price. CRTC should mandate that price increases come with automatic deregistration of customers. That way, customers have to actually accept the hike otherwise the service is cut. Telcos would think twice big time.
