Apple to Host Creator Event on January 27-29, Sparking Reports of a M5 Pro MacBook Pro Announcement

Apple has sent out invitations to content creators this month to join in on an “Apple Experience in Los Angeles, California. The event is slated to run from January 27th to January 29th. This event has spun reports that Apple may be preparing an announcement of the M5 Pro and M5 Max MacBook Pro units.

On Instagram, Creator Petr Mara published an image of the invitation recieved from Apple. As first spotted by MacRumorsthe photo was uploaded on January 7th but has only now garnered attention. The invitation in question doesn’t detail what will transpire during the event. However, Mara has been a part of previous Apple events, including testing the iPhone 17 Pro back in September.

What sparks the majority of speculation regarding an M5 Pro and M5 Max MacBook Pro announcement is how close in proximity this event is to the launch of Apple’s new Creator Studio bundle. Announced last week, this bundle costs $17.99 per month in Canada and is launching on January 27th.

Apple’s Creator Studio bundle includes Mac apps like Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, and more. It’s likely safe to assume that Apple will leverage the launch of its Creator Studio bundle with beefy M5 Pro and M5 Max MacBook Pro models.

Additionally, Apple has its quarterly earnings report call on January 29th. Historically, Apple tends to precede these calls with a product announcement of some sort.

The base 14-inch M5 MacBook Pro was introduced in October. To this date, there hasn’t been any major notice from Apple that more powerful models are on the way. That said, an M5 Pro and M5 Max MacBook Pro are to be expected at this point, however.
