Prime Video to Drop Final Episodes of Fallout Season 2 a Day Early

Fallout fans are being treated to the final two episodes of the second season early. As the latest season of the video game adaptation comes to a close, Prime Video is amending the premiere times of the last two episodes, airing them a day early.

Over on X (formerly Twitter), the official @falloutonprime account announced that this week’s penultimate episode will air tonight, January 27th, at 9 PM ET/6 PM PT. This is one day ahead of its original Wednesday timeslot. Following this, the season two finale will air on Tuesday, February 3rd, at the same time. “Your punctuality is appreciated,” the post says.

Prime Video has been playing very fast and loose with the dates of its second season of Fallout. The premiere was originally slated to drop on December 17th, but the streamer decided at the last minute to once again shift the date 24 hours earlyFallout Season 2 was also given the weekly drop treatment after Prime Video opted for a batch drop of Season 1 back in April of 2024.

The second season of Fallout largely sees our trio of characters, including Walton Goggins’ Ghoul, Ella Purnell’s vault-dwelling Lucy Maclean, and Maximus, the Brotherhood of Steel squire played by Aaron Moten, all headed towards the fan-beloved locale of New Vegas. The season has also introduced us to Justin Theroux’s rendition of Mr. House, another fan-favourite. This season largely takes inspiration from Obsidian Entertainment’s Fallout: New Vegas, which was released in 2010.

According to Prime Video (via Forbes), Fallout Season 2 is the ‘best-performing season on Prime Video’ since Reacher Season 3 in February of 2025. It is currently the sixth most-viewed season of any Prime Video series ever, behind the first two seasons of Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, Season 2 and 3 of Reacher, and the inaugural season of Fallout.

Prime Video has already given Fallout the green light for Season 3. Though there has not been a release date announced for the next season as of the time of writing.
