Nintendo Direct Feb 5: How to Watch Live

Nintendo has officially confirmed that a new Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase is arriving on February 5. This presentation is set to be a major one, as it will explicitly feature games for both the original Nintendo Switch and the newer Nintendo Switch 2.

The stream kicks off early at 6:00 a.m. PT / 9:00 a.m. ET. Nintendo has confirmed the showcase will run for roughly 30 minutes, focusing on upcoming titles from its publishing and development partners.

As this is a “Partner Showcase,” the spotlight will stay on third-party developers rather than Nintendo’s internal studios. While we shouldn’t expect a new Zelda or Metroid reveal here, the third-party lineup for 2026 is already looking packed.

Industry insiders and recent leaks suggest we could see updates on high-profile projects like FromSoftware’s The Duskbloods and the rumored “Tarnished Edition” of Elden Ring for the Switch 2. Other potential appearances include Atlus’s Metaphor: ReFantazio and the long-awaited native ports of the Kingdom Hearts series.

The inclusion of “Nintendo Switch 2” in the official announcement is the biggest takeaway for tech enthusiasts. Following its launch last June, the Switch 2 has seen incredible success in Japan, though Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa recently noted that Western sales have been “slightly weaker” than expected.

You can catch the livestream tomorrow morning on Nintendo’s official YouTube channel at this link.
