Sony has officially unveiled the WF-1000XM6 (yes, the complex model naming remains), the latest flagship in its wireless earbud lineup. The new model features a redesigned internal structure and updated processors to improve both audio isolation and user comfort.

The WF-1000XM6 includes an upgraded noise-cancelling system that is 25% more effective than the previous XM5 model. This improvement is driven by a dual-processor system consisting of a new HD Noise Cancelling Processor QN3e and an Integrated Processor V2.

Sony also increased the microphone count from six to eight to better monitor environmental noise and added a new ventilation structure to reduce the uncomfortable pressure often felt with active noise cancellation.

In terms of design, the earbuds are 11% slimmer than the previous version and feature a more ergonomic shape meant to fit the natural curves of the ear. A major addition to this generation is built-in support for Gemini, Google’s AI assistant. On compatible Android devices, users can use Gemini Live for fluid conversations to manage apps or listen to news updates hands-free.

For voice calls, the earbuds use two microphones and a bone conduction sensor on each side paired with an AI algorithm to isolate your voice in loud environments. The internal antennas were also enlarged by 1.5 times to improve Bluetooth connection reliability.

The earbuds offer up to 8 hours of playback on a single charge with the case providing an additional 16 hours.

You can pre-order the WF-1000XM6 on Amazon Canada for $429, and they officially launch tomorrow on February 13. Are you going to get these?

Meanwhile, the WH-1000MX6 headphones are on sale right now for $498, at $100 off.
