Freedom Mobile’s $40/100GB Global Plan Is Back With New $9 Monthly Credit
Freedom Mobile has launched a new promotion for customers who bring their own phone, offering a $9 per month credit on select plans that are $40/month or higher.
The discount is available to those who activate a new line or migrate to an eligible Canada-U.S.-Mexico plan. To qualify for the monthly savings, you must choose a plan with at least 100GB of data.
The credits are applied before tax and will continue as long as you remain on an eligible plan and do not upgrade your hardware through the carrier. This offer can also be combined with the existing Digital Discount for further savings.
New Canada-U.S.-Mexico plan pricing
With the $9 monthly credit and the Digital Discount applied, the updated monthly prices for the top-tier plans are:
- $40 for 100GB (plus 15GB Roam Beyond data)
- $50 for 150GB (plus 25GB Roam Beyond data)
- $60 for 200GB (plus 30GB Roam Beyond data)
- $70 for 250GB (plus 35GB Roam Beyond data)
Freedom is also offering still offering two entry-level options that do not qualify for the $9 credit: a $34 10GB plan and a $39 70GB plan.
If this promo pricing with the $9 credit looks familiar, it’s because Freedom offered this during Boxing Day.
As part of an ongoing Lunar New Year promotion, all of these plans currently include 888 long distance minutes. The Roam Beyond data included with these plans covers 120 destinations, making them a strong option for frequent travellers.
Who’s going to jump on these promo plans (again)?

Great prices but have they improved their cellular coverage. Price doesn’t matter if there is no signal available
I just signed up around a week or so ago on that Lunar promo. Works very well in Ottawa West, Nepean. Solid 5G with zero drops or issues. Inside a building under ground one floor I could still make calls without issues.I was surprised. Couple years ago I had just hit and miss. It was unstable. Looks like things have changed.
Been a member since the Wind days and they are night and day in greater Vancouver. Now that they use Rogers for non freedom zones its that much better. I made a terrible mistake and moved one line back to Telus a year ago for a deal on new iphone and coverage of Telus in New Westminster was so poor and frustrating that I paid a $700 contract break fee and I am back on Freedom. My family keeps telling me to shut up about how happy I am being able to use my phone after a 12 month blackout period LOL
Works great in Toronto, the US, and Portugal.
