Scosche recently sent us their BaseLynx 2.0 Pro Kit modular charging system to put to the test. If you are looking to declutter your nightstand or office desk, this is a contemporary, compact solution that organizes your tech while keeping it juiced up.

What’s in the Box?

Scosche includes everything you need to get started right away, including premium braided cables:

  • 2-in-1 MagSafe Stand: Charges iPhone 12 and later with an adjustable swivel/tilt viewing angle. It also has a dedicated spot for charging your wireless AirPod case.
  • Vertical Charging Station: Features three USB-C PD ports with a shared 60W output.
  • Cables: (1) 1ft USB-C to Lightning, (2) 1ft USB-C to USB-C, and a 6ft AC power cable.

Modular and Versatile

The beauty of the BaseLynx 2.0 is its modularity. You can use the units one by one or snap them together in whatever order fits your space. We opted for the full stack version for all our devices. The vertical slots are padded, so you can stack iPads and iPhones safely without worrying about scratches.

One of my favourite uses is for Apple Watch fast charging. I can toss my watch on there before bed and get it from near-dead to 80-100% in under 10 minutes—perfect for those of us who use sleep tracking (why do Apple’s notifications for sleep tracking charging never show up?). It’s also a great home base for AirPods so they don’t go missing.

The Scosche BaseLynx Pro lives inside a drawer that’s inside a pantry cupboard. This keeps wireless charging of devices out of the way and out of sight, but easily accessible. Friends and family that need to recharge their phones or anything else are always impressed with this charging station.

The Trade-offs

The main limitation is power. With a shared 60W output, this won’t charge a MacBook at full speed (which typically requires 96W). However, since this kit includes a 3-prong power extension on the end cap, you can easily plug your MacBook’s actual AC adapter into the side of the station to get full power. It’s worth noting that the 2.0 version is strictly USB-C; if you still rely on USB-A, you’ll need to look at the older original kits.

Verdict

Scosche BaseLynx 2.0

For a family of iPads, iPhones, and wearables, this is a fantastic organizer. It eliminates the hated cable spaghetti on your counter and keeps everything in one place, while keeping the wife happy. The BaseLynx 2.0 Pro Kit retails for $179.99 US on Scosche’s website or $237 on Amazon.ca.

Other Scosche Goodies with Qi2 and More

Scosche WatchIt Keychain

Scosche also sent us some other goodies to check out, including their WatchIt Keychain ($39.95 from Apple.ca), which brings a magnetic fast charger for Apple Watch (also charges AirPods Pro from your iPhone’s USB-C port). This is super handy to carry with you to keep that Apple Watch juiced up and it can be there on your keychain.

Scosche Magic Mount Dash

They also have a cool Magic Mount magnetic wireless (Qi2) charging mount for iPhone, which is handy to charge and hold your phone at the office. Another cool updated Qi2 wireless charging mount is their Magic Mount for your car’s vent or dash, so you can charge your iPhone on the road. Both of these products were announced last fall during the iPhone 17 series launch and are their newest products.
