Telus-owned Public Mobile looks to be responding somewhat to the newest Freedom Mobile promo that is offering 250GB of data with 50GB of global roaming. We’ve never seen Public Mobile offer 250GB of data before. That’s more than what the average person can use in a month, total overkill.
Public Mobile just ramped up the data on its monthly plans but roaming is still limited to the US and Mexico. Check out the new 5G plans below, with changes compared to last month’s data allotments:

I bumped up my $35 CAN/US/MEX plan with 75 gigs data to 100 gigs now for the same price. That’s loads 4 me. I dropped 500 international minutes but I never use them so I dont care.
The roaming in 120 diff countries that Freedom is offering is enticing me tho. I dont travel to the US anymore but the Caribbean, Latin America & Mexico yes. Europe is also on my bucket list within the next couple of years too so if Public doesnt offer a much broader roaming pkg than than Mexico & Magastan, I may be moving on from them soon.
I checked Public Mobile web site. There is no mention of global roaming data.

Until they add wifi calling they will remain the worst option
I pay $85 a month with discounts of having home internet, TV and everything with Telus. I am paying now $65 a month and I have unlimited talk, text and data of up to 250 high speed and then it slows down. But I have unlimited international calling roaming in 68 countries and calling to and from in between the 68 countries is 100% free. Absolutely liberating plan love Telus
How are you liking the home internet, I currently pay separately for cogeco and it’s signal sucks doesn’t even go through 2 bedroom townhouse
