Oppo Find N6 to Receive “Global Launch” on March 17

Oppo is set to hold a “global launch” of its upcoming foldable, the Find N6. The device will release on March 17, and is expected to feature a revolutionary “Zero-Feel Crease.”

In a press release, the company says that it has “achieved a major breakthrough in hinge architecture and display materials.” Pete Lau, Senior Vice President and Chief Product Officer at Oppo, claims that the company is “opening up new possibilities for what a foldable smartphone experience can be.”

At launch, it’s confirmed to be available in ‘Stellar Titanium’ and ‘Blossom Orange’. The latter of which sports a Gold Hinge Trim on the hinge casing.

Apart from teasing its hinge technology, Oppo is keeping some things close to the chest. The Find N6 offers what is said to be a large screen experience with seamless visuals and a smooth touch response. It’s suggested via leaks that the device will sport an 8.1-inch 2K LTPO display when unfolded. The outer display is believed to be a 6.6-inch.

Oppo’s Find N6 is claimed to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, with 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage. As for cameras, the device is believed to feature a 200MP Hasselblad Ultra-Clear camera, a 50MP ultrawide lens, a 50MP periscope telephoto camera, and a 2MP multispectral sensor. The front-facing camera is believed to be a 12MP shooter.

Aside from specs, the Find N6 will offer support for the Oppo AI Pen, which features AI-powered tools beyond a traditional stylus. However, what those features are is yet to be determined.
“The OPPO Find N series has always led the foldable market by being on the front end of innovative technologies,” Lau says. We’ll have a much better picture regarding the Find N6 by March 17. Canadian pricing will be an interesting one to note, as competitive foldables are very accessible within the market.
