How to Watch the 2026 Oscars in Canada: Stream Live on Crave and CTV
The 98th Academy Awards are set to take over Hollywood this Sunday, March 15, and Canadian movie fans have several ways to catch the action live from the Dolby Theatre.
The ceremony features a slightly earlier start time of 7:00 p.m. ET or 4:00 p.m. PT. Comedian Conan O’Brien returns for the second year in a row as host, bringing his signature humour to celebrate the best films of 2025.
This time around, Bell Media has expanded its broadcast reach, as it holds the exclusive rights to the Oscars in Canada. While CTV remains the traditional home for the Oscars, the show is now available to stream on Crave. This means you can watch the entire event through the Crave app on a smartphone, tablet, or smart TV without needing a cable TV subscription.
This is a major win for cord cutters who previously struggled to find a legal streaming option in Canada. Many Canadians have already transitioned to using Crave for major live broadcasts following the platform’s successful streaming of the Super Bowl and the Olympics.
For those who still prefer a traditional television experience, CTV and CTV2 will carry the full programme across the country. You can also access the feed through the CTV website or app, though these platforms usually require a login with your television provider credentials.
If you want to see the red carpet fashion, the Etalk Live at the Oscars pre-show begins at 5:30 p.m. ET or 2:30 p.m. PT on CTV, Crave, and YouTube.
