Fido, Virgin and Koodo Flash Sale: $27 Canada-US-Mexico Plans
A wireless price war has erupted this weekend as Fido, Virgin Plus, and Koodo have all slashed prices on US-Mexico roaming plans to under $30 per month. These aggressive offers appear to be limited-time promotions designed to capture customers over the weekend. But there’s a catch–it’s only available in-store.
At Virgin Plus and Fido, the deal offers 80GB of 5G data with full roaming coverage across Canada, the United States, and Mexico for just $27 per month. This specific offer is currently available only in-store at retailers like Wireless Wave, Best Buy, Staples, or corporate branded stores. These prices are for bring your own device and after an autopay discount.
Koodo has a slightly different offering of 60GB for $27.50 per month, which also includes the Canada-US-Mexico roaming. Expect Koodo to bump up to 80GB to match their rivals this weekend. Koodo’s promo is also set to expire on March 23, giving shoppers only a short window to make the switch, according to stores iPhone in Canada spoke with on the phone.
At $27 for a Canada-US-Mexico roaming plan? That’s pretty decent if you’re looking at carriers from the Big 3. Freedom Mobile will require at least a $35 plan for US-Mexico roaming and $40 from Telus-owned Public Mobile.
Recently, Virgin Plus launched 5G wireless plans yet again.
These promo plans are confirmed to be available in B.C. and Ontario, and again are only available in-store.
Update March 21, 2026: Looks like Fido is offering the $27/80GB Canada-US-Mexico plan for existing customers as well. You just need to log into your account to see the deal.

Unfortunately no price freeze guarantee like Freedom Mobile. Good luck, enjoy the circus ride. No thanks.
Sometimes, you can see a bait ‘n switch a mile away. Sometimes, it is right under your nose.
It didn’t show up on My Account as $27. It showed up as $40/80GB, but I called *611 and $27 was offered to me by the agent. They said they charge $20 to change it. I said, “OK,” since I’m saving quite a bit of cash in the long run.
U got scammed 😳 👀 you had call back tell them I’m out if they refused to do it for free no charged
