Fido and Virgin Plus Drop $25/80GB Canada-US-Mexico Plans to Match Koodo
After Fido and Virgin Plus launched $27/80GB Canada-US-Mexico plans, rival Koodo beat them by a couple of bucks, debuting a $25/80GB plan.
Now, on the last day of the promo, Fido and Virgin Plus have magically matched Koodo by lowering the price of their 80GB promo plan to $25 per month, showing on both carrier websites.
Virgin Plus says the $25/80GB North America plan is available for just “one day only”. Fido sadly makes you pay for hotspot access, which in 2026 sounds totally crazy. Update: Fido is now offering a $0 hotspot promo with this plan.
Koodo’s $25/80GB plan only has $10 in bill credits for 24 months, so the promo pricing is not permanent.
You can also get the Fido and Virgin Plus $25/80GB deal at Best Buy with a bonus $100 store gift card. But they make you pay the $80 activation fee up front, which is then credited back to you on your bill at the slow rate of $5/month for 16 months.
So here we are on the last day of these $25/80GB Canada-US-Mexico promo plans–are you going to switch carriers today?

Fido includes $0 hotspot now, FYI.
Thanks, will update! 🙂
How still says add-on
On the Fido website at the bottom section of the $25/80GB plan, it reads this:
Plan price includes 5 offer(s):
Hotspot promo only available for new activations sadly.
How long is the promo pricing discount good till on Fido. Hopefully 24 months
